THE DOROTHY CUTTS INVITATIONAL
Night of Champions 2024 will include the first running of The Dorothy Cutts Invitational.
Six women drivers from Australia and six from New Zealand will compete in this 2200m pacing race celebrating the history of women in harness racing.
The race is named after Dorothy Cutts (pictured above), who was the first woman to be granted a professional driver's licence enabling her to compete against the male drivers in New Zealand.
She went on to become the first woman to win at a totalisator meeting against the men behind Kenworthy, the historic achievement happened at Cambridge Raceway in February 1979.
